Engineering solution
What this equipment is designed to solve
Organized collection and unloading of collected dust from cyclones and filters— no spillage, with a hermetically sealed seal and protection against material freezing.
A bunker is a storage tank under a cyclone, bag or cartridge filter for collecting collected dust and its organized unloading. A pyramidal or conical lower part with a sufficient angle of inclination of the walls ensures gravity flow of the material to the unloading unit.
Unloading is carried out through a sluice (rotary) gate, a sector gate – “flasher” or a gate valve – depending on the properties of the dust and the removal mode. For materials prone to hanging, the hopper is equipped with a vibrator, aerating nozzles or heating.
The design is calculated for the volume of catch between removal cycles and for the load from the accumulated material. Manufacturing – at the ABL production base according to calculations for a specific installation.
Application
Suitable applications
- Under cyclones and groups of cyclones: collection of coarse dust
- For bag and cartridge filters: fine dust collection
- Dust extraction systems for metallurgy, woodworking, grain processing, mining, cement
- Units for transferring and transporting bulk materials

Frequently Asked Questions
Based on the volume of catch between removal cycles: gas consumption, initial dust content and unloading mode determine how much dust accumulates per shift or day. The design is additionally calculated for the load from accumulated material, taking into account the bulk density.
For materials prone to hanging, we increase the angle of inclination of the walls (55–70°) and equip the hopper with a vibrator, aerating nozzles, heating or agitator – the unit is selected for the properties of the specific dust.
Sluice (rotary) valve – for continuous removal while maintaining tightness; sector shutter-“flashing light” – for periodic gravity unloading; gate valve – for unloading into transport or containers. For explosive dust, sealed versions with spark-free discharge are used.
